Spades Scorepad ("the App") is an offline score tracker for the card game Spades, built for iPhone and iPad. It is not a multiplayer or online game and has no user accounts.
This document describes what data the App handles, where it goes, and what your rights are.
The App does not collect, transmit, or share personal data with the developer or any third party for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
| Data | Where it is stored | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Player names you type in for a game | App-private storage (iOS UserDefaults inside the app sandbox) | So you can resume an in-progress game after closing the app |
| The current game's bids, tricks won, and round number | App-private storage | Autosave / resume |
| Theme preference (System / Light / Dark) | App-private storage | Remember your choice |
| Scoring rule preset (Classic / American / etc.) and default player count | App-private storage | Settings persistence |
This data never leaves your device. It may be included in the operating system's encrypted device backup (iCloud Backup) unless you have disabled that in system settings. Uninstalling the App removes the App's sandbox and all of its stored data immediately.
The App makes no network requests of its own. It does not contact the developer, any analytics service, any advertising network, or any other remote server.
The standard iOS share sheet (used by the Game Over screen's "Share Result" button and the "Share Standings" menu item) is provided by iOS itself. Any network activity that follows — for example, sending a message via Messages or WhatsApp — is performed by the app you choose to share with, under that app's own privacy policy.
The App does not bundle any crash-reporting SDK. If you have opted in to Apple's "Share with App Developers" analytics in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized crash metrics with the developer through App Store Connect. This is controlled by iOS itself, not by the App, and contains no game data.
The App requests no special permissions. It does not access location, contacts, microphone, camera, photos, Bluetooth, local network discovery, notifications, or the file system outside its own sandbox.
The App does declare two integrations that operate without requesting any new permission:
The App is suitable for general audiences. It does not collect personal information, does not contain in-app purchases or advertising, and does not link out to third-party content.
Because no personal data is sent to us, there is nothing for us to delete or export. To remove all locally-stored data, uninstall the App.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same URL and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will also be called out in the App's release notes.
