By downloading, installing, or using Spades Scorepad ("the App"), you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and stop using it.
The App is an offline score tracker for the card game Spades, built for iPhone and iPad. It computes round scores, bag totals, and bag penalties for a single tabletop game of 2–8 human players. It is not a multiplayer game, does not deal cards, and does not connect to any server.
The App assumes you and your fellow players are playing a real game of Spades and entering the result of each round into the App. You are responsible for entering correct bids and won-tricks counts. The App will warn you if a round's tricks exceed the allowed total, but it cannot verify the fairness of the underlying game.

The App supports several common bag-penalty presets (Classic, American, Hard Sandbagging, No Bag Penalty). House rules vary by region; the App provides what the player community generally treats as the most common defaults but does not claim to be an authoritative or canonical rulebook for Spades.
The App is distributed only through the Apple App Store. Updates are delivered through the App Store under Apple's standard terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, or that scores entered into the App will be preserved indefinitely (for example, scores are lost if you uninstall the App or reset your device).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it and uninstall it.
The App is built entirely on Apple's first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, Combine, Foundation, Charts, AppIntents, StoreKit). No third-party SDKs are bundled. Use of those Apple frameworks is governed by Apple's SDK licence.
The App's data-handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
These terms may be revised from time to time. The revised version will be published at the same URL, with the "Last updated" date above changed. Material changes will also be called out in the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may also stop publishing or supporting the App at any time without notice; existing installations will continue to function until iOS itself stops supporting the build.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
